Our article Will Parnell and Jackie Bartlett, "iDocument:   How Smartphones and Tablets Are Changing Documentation in  Preschool and Primary Classrooms" comes out in NAEYC's Young Children journal in May.  A book editor just emailed asking us to utilize the article as a book chapter in his upcoming book!  Yay! Puppy gets a new collar

Our little puppy is so cute! She got her new collar in the mail today. It's yellow with little flowers on it. Boy, she didn't like the update at first. But our walk tonight was a proud puppy walk! She was so excited and had that puppy smile and prance around attitude.

I love new clothing like that sometimes, too! Enjoy the spring sun peaking out. Summer will be here before we know it.

Whining for Countertops and Sinks!

Okay Folks,

We've been living without sinks in our house for a couple of weeks. I'm sure you'll think I'm a wimp for whining, but we stared back to work (after a much needed relaxing summer vacation) the same week as ALL of the countertops and sinks came out of the house. It's been hard (said in a sniveling whining voice)! We're almost done with this short sacrifice and I'm posting the pictures of our newly cut granite slab countertops. They are so beautiful. The kitchen countertops are called seaweed green and the bathrooms (all three) are called tunas green.

It is funny how little green there really is in either granite slab. They are more black and brown speckled than anything else. And, they are so beautiful. I can't wait until Thursday this week! They'll be in and we can go back to cooking, washing things, and using our new faucets and counters. Oh yeah, we got new faucets to match the rest of our house hardware. They are all oil rubbed bronze, but that's for another posting.

Jake Gyllenhaal Accepts Award for Best Kiss!

Pretty amazing in such bleak political times! My theory is that when politics turn so far one direction and nearest the boiling point of intoloerance, the masses make the pendulum swing harder toward the other side.

I love the acceptance that Brokback Mountain has received in the mass media and images world. One fun moment in time...below is the video of Jake Gyllenhaal accepting the award for "Best Kiss" at The MTV Movie Awards 2006.
